Feb 23, 2004 Updated: Jun 11, 2005Surprisingly refreshing. Pilsneresque in attibutes. Lite malt breadiness in aroma floats above the thin, straw colored body of this brew. I liken this beer to a guerilla raid. It attacks quick with a punch of flavor, deposits a heavily bitter payload, then disappears, just as fast as it came. Would be a great BBQ beer.

Feb 14, 2004 22 oz. bottle. I have never had such a WEAK winter seasonal beer. All of the Magic Hat beers taste the same to me, and this is no exception. Slightly sweeter then the other Magic Hat beers. The style is listed as a cream ale. How does anybody know what style it is? I'm not sure why I keep trying their products because I'm always disappointed. I actually bought 2 Magic Hat beers today. What was I thinking?!?! A 5% ABV winter seasonal, WHAT A JOKE!

Jan 25, 2004 Hazy pale golden yellow. Sticky white head, lots of lacing. Pleasant spicy, herbal hop nose. Pale sweet malts, light bodied, finishing with faint hops. Nothing special here, a tad on the bland side, lacking in flavor and complexity.

Golden in color with a small white head.Floral/grassy hop aroma.Bitter,hoppy,grainy malt character,dry astringent grainy finish.

Jan 19, 2004 Clear straw yellow color with a good sized white head. Fruity aroma, light palete. Odd that a winter beer would be such a light ale.

Dec 17, 2003 Big Bottle: A bit of a pale golden, almost yellow color. I didn't get a whole lot of head in mine. A bit of a fruity aroma, although it wasn't too strong. A bit of malts and spiciness (ginger?) to the taste, but not much else. A hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Somewhere between light and medium bodied. Not likely to be bought again.

Nov 23, 2003 Updated: Jun 16, 2004Fruity sweet aroma. Pale golden colour with decent frothy head. Mild malt flavour with citrusy hops to offset and some toastiness in the finish. Medium light mouthfeel. This is an enjoyable light pale ale although given the choice of beers at this brewery, I'd opt for Fat Angel. Bottle.

Jun 19, 2003 Pale golden, thin head, nose was like "dry Coors". Not very ale-like. A little skunky.
