| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 5, 2009 The aroma of this beer and its color are immediately off-putting. Smells a bit like rotting beets, and the hue is just dull enough to be unappealing. The flavor experience is just meh, no real beet taste detected, just an average summer brew with an unnecessary gimmick.

Just something out of my experience. Maybe the closest I come is when I used to each flax seed on the farm while waiting for grandpa to finish a round. Acknud (781), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 4, 2009 To be truthful here coloring a beer as a gimmick with something that does not add flavor does nothing to enhance my beer drinking experience. It also does nothing to cover up a beer with average taste! tjthresh (1775), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Pours a pinkish orange with a soapy white head with a pink hue. This beer tastes and smells like grain. I’m not really calling it malty. Its smell and tastes like raw grain. medium body with a bit of an oily finish. Snoop59 (74), Penn Run, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear, reddish-pink color with a light pink fizzy head that dissipates quickly to a thin layer that lasts throughout. Leaves a little lacing on the glass. The aroma is a very light malty sweetness, quite subdued. Almost more grainy than malty. A slight bitterness to balances it out. Definitely crisp, as in the description. Light bodied. Lively carbonation. tnkw01 (201), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Since I work in the food industry I know beet extract is a dye and not a flavor and beet sugar is just like cane sugar so, this is not suppse to have beet flavor (thank God). To be honest it taste like Miller High Life. So I’m probably being very generous with my score but I love the color. ROGUE (676), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a strawberry red with a light pink two finger head that fizzled out quickly. Has a very mild malt aroma. The taste was light and consisted of sweet beet, apricot and a grainy malt. Flowery hops detected towards the finish as well. Mild flavors but very refreshing.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 23, 2009 Pours red, has a sweet malt aroma to it. I didn’t get much out of the flavor. It was different and tasty but not much to the body. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Bottle: Poured a red color with a pink head. The aroma was sweet and fruity. The flavor was actually weak, watered down and hard to find. Overall, weird to drink a beer that is bright red and tastes nothing like it looks.
