nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 4, 2009 Updated: Feb 9, 2009On tap at City Beer Store in SF. Supposedly aged in Bourbon barrels. Medium amber color with a minimal off-white head. Aroma of yeast and lots of bourbon. Flavor? One word: bourbon. Mix between a beer and a Jim Beam. A little too much if you ask me. Medium body that does not stand up to the barrel-imparted flavors. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Draft. brown beer with a small off-white head. Light bourbon aroma. Light bourbon, light malt flavor with some yeastiness. Medium-light body. Lingering light bourbon, (wheat?), spice, and yeast. A little light tasting and I don’t care for X that much anyway. If I heard correctly, the beer was in bourbon barrels for only 2 weeks.
