Magnolia Bourbon Barrel Out With the Old Ale

On tap at Alembic in SF. Dark brown color with an off-white head. Sweet, caramel malty aroma with noticeable bourbon. Flavor is caramel malt with some dark fruit, toffee, and bourbon. Nice smooth, medium-full palate.

Cask @ the brewpub. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty fruity hoppy aroma with hints of caramel and some hints of bourbon. Has a sweetish malty dark fruit flavor with hints of caramel and also some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish wit some hints of dark fruit and hops in the aftertaste.

Cask. Mahogony beer with a light tan head. Bourbon and toffee aroma. Toffee, caramel, bourbon flavor with a bit of zippy hops in the backing to balance. Medium bodied. Very nice. Toffee, caramel, bourbon, and brown sugar linger. A bit of sweetness and rich malt nicely balanced with the bourbon and some hops to add more depth.
