GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Apr 22, 2008 Technically, this may be the wrong beer I’m reviewing. In the brewpub they merely listed it as IPA, while here there’s four different names, each with one review each so it’s a little hard to say--so consider this a general review of magnolia IPA. It’s a thin, unremarkable IPA. It also has what a different magnolia review refers to as "Lazy Magnolia after-taste." It tastes to me like the draft lines need some cleaning. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Sep 1, 2007 Tasted on tap at the 2nd Annual Drakes IPA Festival. This IPA pours a light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is earthy and floral. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. There is a touch more residual bitterness and more dryness in this beer than the others today. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
