Tap@ Magnolia Pub and brewery, San Fransisco- pretty heavily sweet and finishes quite bitter, very richly textured beer, grapefruit, pine, toffee. Pretty intense, a little unbalnced and hard to drink.

a little too sweet for my tastes with a rasping orange peel bitterness and some caramel

Tap at Bistro DIPA festival. Amber color with a slight off-white head. Nice mixed hop aroma over roasted caramel. Rather thin in body. Very nice burst of floral burning hop flavor. Stands out from the DIPA pack.

Tap @ Magnolia for Strong Ale Month 2008. Poured a slightly hazed amber color with an off-white head. Big grapefruit aroma with some other pine and earthy hops notes mixed in. There was a hint of butterscotch sadly though. Nice hop flavor that covers the malt. Citrus finish but again some light butterscotch. Medium-full body.

Orange amber color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is floral and piney. A medium to full bodied double India Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet and very carmely. Hops are full out, bitter and grapefruity. Very thick and nearly chewy. Nicely balanced. For a 140 IBU IPA is has a lot of sweetness to it. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Draught at the brewpub Hazy, deep amber with a small, tan head. Coffee, chocolate, elderberries and some licorice in the aroma. Pretty high on alcohol. Hay like and very heavy bitterness.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Nice big citrus aroma. Big grapefruit flavor with some pine and backing caramel. Long lasting grapefruit bitterness. Hides alcohol well. Very good.
