Sep 25, 2006 Draft. Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and malt flavor with some pininess. Medium bodied. Lingering grapfruit/pine/earthy bitterness.

Jul 20, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with thin white head. Lots of citrusy grapefruit hops in the nose and flavor accompanied by a hint of rose hips on a light malty background. Assertive and lingering bitterness.

Jul 7, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. This was my favorite beer of all of the offerings at Magnolia. Pretty much your standard uber hoppy west coast IPA. Tasted really fresh. The brewpub claims that the IBU is 100, and it tastes like it. Good stuff.

Apr 7, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Dark gold with a white head. Nice cascade hop aroma. The sweetness is sublime. Has an excellent citrus flavor of grapefruit. My pick of the best beer that I tasted at Magnolia.

Feb 19, 2006 Cask Conditioned version
Aroma: Cascade hops are wonderfully dominant
Apparance: Golden yellow with white head and some haze which may be from the dry-hopping
Flavor: The malt is soft and round while the hops have a bright citrusy and delicious
Palate: The soft malt balances the drying finish of the hops
Overall: I preferred the cask version over the one draft. I love the soft round malt profile which support the pine like, grapefruity hoppy character... lovely
If you like the finish, try the draft version which is more carbonated and served colder than the one on cask

Nov 29, 2005 On tap, at the brewpub. Dark yellow, small white head. Lots of fresh pine and tree like hops in strong aroma. Very pine/floral hops in taste - no citrus, no fruit, all pine - quite nice. Strong and substantial malt base on a light to medium body - well balanced. Short finish. Not complex, but balanced and excellent.
