omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 18, 2007 Draught at the brewpub.
Near black, firm creamy head. Roasty coffee aroma. Dry and creamy with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Typical Irish stout is enery way - light, dry, creamy, coffeish roasty and bitter. ABUSEDGOAT (1900), California, USA Nov 27, 2007 Black pour, light tan head. Very light aroma, reminiscent of Guinness (which is bad). Light roast, coffee and chocolate are here, light hops. Another stout ruined from nitro. luv_casks (171), USA Feb 19, 2006 Aroma: Roasty and toasty
Appearance: black with a nice creamy brown head
Flavor: Fabulous roast and coffee flavors
Palate: Surprisingly light on the tongue for a stout
Overall: A surprising find... it is not common to find a dry irish stout with such a low alcohol percentage... an awesome session stout... classic old world style tupalev (2296), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 29, 2005 On tap, at the brewpub. Damn, this was a disappointing end to a great session at Magnolia. Black with red hues. very thick big beige head. Slight roasted weak aroma. Thick nitro mouthfeel. Bland watery dry taste. Lingering bitterness, but sour roasted quality to it as well - it struck me as a Guinness clone. Just bland. A solid brewpub’s weaker offering. jazz88 (2205), San Francisco, California, USA May 8, 2004 Tap @ brewpub. A solid black color with a creamy brown head. Big roasted and coffee flavors.
