Apr 1, 2007 (On tap) Clear, pale, amber colour with a small, lacing head. Fresh hop aroma with citrus and pine needles. Medium body with light notes of caramel but otherwise completely dominated by the dry, lightly citric aroma hops leaving a solid dose of bitterness. 210307

Feb 15, 2006 Updated: Apr 5, 2006<i>Cask at the brewpub. </i> Clear amber. Rich grapefruity hop aroma. Dryish with rounded mouthfeel. Some cookie malt, but grapefruity hops dominate. Licorice-like bitterness finishes it. Nice aroma, but the mouthfeel is a bit raw and unrefined.

Feb 21, 2006 Toasty, kind of smokey, chewy character. Light bronze hue. A little oily and a little bit sticky. Nondescript...not allowable for an IPA to bore me this much. Needs way more hop.

May 25, 2004 Tap-Magnolia Pub and brewery, San Fransisco- didn’t have too many notes on this. Hops are lemony and tangy, bit grainy as a lot of the beers from Magnolia tended to be. Thin and not very interesting. Not too bad though.
