Aug 28, 2008 Draft. Brown/black beer with a tan head. Coffee, caramel, and sweet malt aroma. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, big molasses flavor. Medium bodied. Coffee, malt, caramel, and coffee linger with more molassess notes as it warms. Not bad.

Nov 10, 2007 Pours black with a dark-brown head (I’m excited already). Flavor is coffee and burnt malt. Just by the smell I know there is a huge quantity of black patent... My tongue drips in anticipation. Flavor is just as I expected huge burnt coffee, flavor is balanced by the full body and sweetness. I was expecting the mouthfeel to be a little silkier since they call this an OATMEAL stout but still REALLY DAMN GOOD!

May 15, 2007 Draft. Pitch black pour with a creamy tan head. toasted malt, dough and chocolate aroma. Rich and creamy with some slight chocolate flavors. Dry and somewhat dusty with a nice even, toasted malt body. Clean finish.

May 6, 2007 On tap at Alembic (San Francisco). This dark brown ale poured with a beautiful tan head. The flavor is quite malty with a chalky finish, and there is a carbonated mouthfeel. This is a decent stout, although the flavor is a bit thin.
