[2077-20090405] Cask. Fruity hops and mild floral yeast aroma with weird wet wood undertones. Hazy, brown orange body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Hoppy bitter floral yeast flavour has hints of wood nymph. Medium body is a little bitter. A little rough but otherwise fair.

Cask. IPA Cask Challenge at Volo. Slightly hazy light amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of biscuit malt, slightly tart fruit and biscuit malt. Taste - mostly malt, dry, somewhat floral bitterness to balance. Thick body, a tad still, had a slightly herbal/bitter aftertaste. Just ehhh.

2009-04-05. Orangey dark amber body, near headless. Interesting hoppy aroma is earthy and resiny, light yeasty undertones. (6+) Flavour has a very earthy leafy quality to the hops, malt base has a light dusty malt/caramel note. Lingering bitterness in the finish. (6+) Average plus body is nice for a cask but is under carbonated. Decent, but I would have liked just a touch more oomph and citrus from the hops. Cask at Volo

Brewed for Ontario IPA Cask Challenge at Volo’s. Enjoyed with the brewer. Nothing special in aroma, it looked fine with bubbly cask head on golden body. A good bitterness, although they would have liked it to sit another couple days, but a challenge is a challenge.
