Ernest (4322), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 27, 2008 Draught, Mahogany Ridge, Steamboat Springs.
Head is fully lasting (nitro, though).
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (roasted grain, cocoa), with notes of chalk and vanilla.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively/soft carbonation.
This is their beer for folks who want a Guinness, of course. Not bad for a nitro-impaired brew, but pretty straightforward/ordinary.
