Some caramel malt and floral hops in aroma. Flavor is malt up front and slight bitterness on the back end. Well carbonated. A nice light bock. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2005 I tend to favor lighter bocks. I like the light ness of the malt with added aspect of the extra alcohol, so this one was right up my aisle. Very nice summer style bock, IMHO. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2005 Poured a slightly hazy dark yellow color with a thin white head. Floral aroma on top of malt. Malty flavors lead the way to a big bitter finish. Light body. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2005 Gravity at the Swan and Rushes annual German Beer Fest, Leicester. (The version I had was labelled as Heller Bock). Sunset gold, with a slim head indeed. Strong, gluey flavour. Balanced, but strong. Strong (I’ve mentioned this already), but clean and singleminded. Tasty strength and big malt. I’m not sure about Bocks generally, but this won me over. jimhilt (1687), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

Cloudy amber color, with a few chunky bits. Medium bodied and light-medium carbonation. Malty nose. Starts sweet finishes with some soapy overtones, not a great bock. $3.25 for a 500ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.
