| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2009 From tap at Ølbaren. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge white head. Aroma is sweet, breadish and solid caramel malty. Flavour starts sweet, followed with a good body and mouthfeel and a solid bitterness from a good balance of hops joining in. Sweet and mild spiced finish with a slowly building bitterness. Tasty. faroeviking (6082), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Draught. Unclear golden orange colour with a medium fairly well alsting bubbly white head. Bitter hoppy bit sweet malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a soft maltiness with bitter hops, mild sweetness. Dry bitter finish. Not as sweet as I would suspect for a bock. Grainy biscuity flavor of malt with just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. KyotoLefty (1420), Kyoto, Japan

Dark, very cloudy gold color, with lots of nasty looking stuff floating aroung. Mediuim, but fast fading white head, very cloudy, rather unappetizing looking. Rich malt aroma, very biscuity and grainy, sweet and rich. Rich malt favor, alcohol is noticeable, very sweet, but hops and alcohol balance it decently. Slightly tangy. Hot and sweet. Nice, but lacks subtlety. Rather dry finish, though, from alcohol and some hops. A lot of strange black husks or something floating around, rather nasty. Doesn’t seem to effect the taste, though. A good, rich, traditional bock. But there is a very, very nasty black substance floating in it… looks absolutely grotesque.
