Wooden Cask gravity @ brewery tap, Mahrs Bräu, Bamberg, Germany. Clear medium orange / yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light hoppy, citrus, lime, toffee, pepper spicy, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. (Very nice balanced). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. ;o)) (191007)

Bottle: Pours a cloudy orange/golden color with a fluffy white head that lingers. Quite a malty and roasted aroma for such a translucent brew, somewhat nutty, a bit of smoke and actually really nice. Taste is somewhat grainy, quite malty, caramel notes, yeast, and some nutty undertone. Palate is sticky, carbonated and lightly bitter. Long lasting aftertaste which I like. Overall, a very well crafted Bock in my opinion. Cheers!!

Malty, yeasty aroma, smells like its fresh out of the brewery. Very Flat palate.Appearance is simiilar to hefeweizen. May be constured as unappealing as their are heavy yeast deposits with hundreds greys specks floating in the glass. My personal opinion is that appearance should count for very little and its emphasized here since the taste is so pleasing. F Taste is sweet and malty -honey flavor with a mild bitter spice at the end. Reminds me of a Paulaner Salvatory.

Draught @ Reading BF 2007. Grassy hops with sweet malt and a little spiciness. Tasty with enough crisp lageriness to balance the sweeter flavours from its strength.
