Pale yellow colour. Caramel, apple, peach, tobacco, coriander, biscuit and spice aroma; bitter/sweet taste with tobacco, fruit, brandy and honey aromas; very bitter finish with toffee, biscuit, spice and pepper aromas. The definition of a pale bock - very bitter, but with underlying fruity sweetness. An unbelievably complex beer. The bitter finish hangs around in the mouth for a week or two. One of the best beers I’ve ever drunk and definitely the best beer in this style I’ve had. Simply wonderful.

Malty, yeasty aroma, smells like its fresh out of the brewery. Very Flat palate.Appearance is simiilar to hefeweizen. May be constured as unappealing as their are heavy yeast deposits with hundreds greys specks floating in the glass. My personal opinion is that appearance should count for very little and its emphasized here since the taste is so pleasing. F Taste is sweet and malty -honey flavor with a mild bitter spice at the end. Reminds me of a Paulaner Salvatory.

Other than the aroma, (which I originally gave a 3), I thought this beer was excellent. Smells a little wheaty and yeasty. Only my second pale bock but much better than the first. I really like it, and recommend it!

Draught at Hagges Bärsklubb, Nynäshamn, Sweden. Golden colour, rich head. Light buttery malt aroma. Fairly sweet, rich and softly malty containing hoppiness that accelerates towards a very bitter finish. A well balanced very enjoyable traditional bock.

500 mL (i think) tall bottle. pours with a bit of sediment which floats around a slightly-darker-than-straw colored liquid. smells grainy and sweet, clean and more sweetness. a beautifully-executed bock, which i have come to expect of mahr’s - this is a textbook example of the style, flawless really! if you like bocks, do what you can to get a hold of this.

I tend to favor lighter bocks. I like the light ness of the malt with added aspect of the extra alcohol, so this one was right up my aisle. Very nice summer style bock, IMHO.

0.5 l bottle. This is definitely different. Clear yellow, white lasting head. Hoppy malty aroma. Sharp hoppy flavor with lots of mat to back it up. Way hoppier than you would expect a bock to be, and a big mat sweetness to back it up. Not the color one would expect either.
