Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with an OK head. Slightly sweet aroma with a bit of grass. Grainy biscuity flavor of malt with just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet.

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Golden colour with a big offwhite head. Refreshing grassy hops balance the sweet maltiness. Decent bitterness throughout, hints of bread. A solid heller bock that takes no chances.

On tap at Pint Bokbierfestival 09. Clear golden colour, dense white head. Aroma of grassy hops, malts, light herbal. Flavour is bitter, malty, light flowery and a bit fruity, grainy bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not my style.

Keg at Hagges Bärsklubb. Nice aroma of both malt and a litle hops. A bit too sweet int the taste with a balanced bitterness.

16.9 oz. bottle pours out a slightly hazy gold under a spare, collapsing off white head with little lace. Malty, caramel, fruity aroma with little hops in evidence. Some graininess and a faint floral character come through as well. Smooth, medium body, very lightly carbonated, a bit syrupy on the palate. Rather intense malty sweetness with strong caramel and toffee flavors prove to be too much to handle for the light hoppy bitterness that fights for attention. The sweet finish is tempered by a lingering tangy subtle bitterness.

Bottle. Fruity, estery aroma. Yeasty taste with mild hints of citrus. Golden/yellow color with white head that quickly dissipates. Contained some floaties...might not be the breweries fault, but they were there none the less (could have been old?). Overall an okay beer, but not sure I would get again.

tap at ølbaren. 2009.04.24 or 2009.04.28. Quite sure it was called mahrs kellerbier, but i’m a bit confused being the first to rate that one. moved rating to this bock-beer as others have rated that from ølbaren same time as i was there. will of course move my rating if this is the wrong beer. clear orange, small white head. aroma is faint, faint, malts , bread. flavor is sweet, mild malty, bitter hops.

Tap. Quit beautiful beer with an elegant white head. Aroma is short of wet bread(malt and yeast). Taste is bitter oatmeal porridge, a slight hint of metal.
