Pour amber color with a okay head and good lacing. Aroma was skunky at first then grass hops? Flavor was overwelmed by grassy hops. Mouthfeel was thin to say the least. not good" Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 19, 2006 500 ml brown bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a muddy copper color, with a thin lacing for a head. Aromas are of sweet malts, some toffee, a little coffee, lager yeast, and Coca Cola. Flavors are sweet malts, biting hops, yeast bread, and an earthy quality that’s hard to pin down.
Decent beer, but thin bodied. Needs a bit more mouthfeel to be a really good beer. eboats (901), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 4, 2006 Amber with an off white head. Aroma is grain and miller lite mixed. Body is a bit malty with little flavor. Sweet and skunky tasting. Not too bad, but very bland. Watery and weak. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2006 Pour is a very pale brown with a fluffy white head. Aroma is malty and grain. Flavor is very nutty maybe some hazelnut and a bit of nutmug throw in there. Finish leaves something to be desired as it is very watery and reminds me of wet paper bag. Still worth a try. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with white head. The aroma is yeast, some hops, and wheat. The flavor is full and yeasty, with noble hops and just enough malt to support it. There is some citrus in there, too, and a nice warm finish. A pleasant drink. Aroma had some grain noticable. Alsoa good chocolate aroma. Cloudy golden aroma with small head. Flavor this tasted more like a stout. Full body wih a rich chocolate flavor. Not that spicyness that most christmas brews have. Chocolate on palate and smooth. A real enjoyable beer. Wish I remembered where I got it from. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA

Rather coppery/golden & wheatish in appearance for a "bock" with a yellowhite head. Appearance goes up a point because of the label art. Prominent aromas are odd yet intriguing: cooked vegetables, steeped grains & breakfast cereal. Flavor of sweet & sour malts. Roasted grains in abundance warming to grain alcohol on the palate. Not "bocky", not "Christmassy", just "cerealish" and "breakfastlike".
