| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 6, 2005 Cloudy gold body with a fleeting beige head. The aroma was bready, sweet, herbs, hops, caramel. Nothing dominating. Watery body. The flavor was somewhat sweet, malty, and alcoholic. There are much better bocks. Perkeo (318), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2005 Hazy dark gold to amber hued beer with a nice lace, pretty sticky.Soft and fresh malt character on the palate, sort of brown sugar like, rummy, with maybe some spice but not certain, a cinnamon n’ nutmeg "thing" is buried in there somewhere, not intrusive, definite resiny hop backbone present and maybe a little harsh but it definitely "adds character". This is fresh for this season I’m pretty sure and I like the unique yet "bock enough" flavor of this quality German lager! beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 28, 2005 This bock pours a light orange gold color form a 500ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is bready and sweet with a touch of caramel. A medium to light bodied bock. Malts are bready, caramel and sweet. Touch of spice in this one, I think its nutmeg and ginger? A touch thin and without the strong malt flavors would expect in a bock. A very drinkable beer with a nice off-dry finish. Slightly fizzy carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma has a rubbery quality plus apple notes and something urine-like. Caramel and juniper flavor with exceptional bitterness for a German bock. Seems cooked. Not very good. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Nice for a change, but not, in my eyes (or mouth), a true bock. More flora than malt. Pours a little light. Good fruit comes through with some yeast notes. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2005 Reminds one of a Maibock. Cloudy and straw-coloured. Full, vineous and malty nose, lots of honey, maybe cognac -- a bit like a Belgian ale with less yeast. Taste isn’t too complicated: sweet with a bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. Even after a year of storage, tastes fresh and organic. Oily, heavy, slightly sticky body. Nice. JK (2955), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Not quite up to the standards of a premium bock. Herbal, bread aroma. Amber colored, with a large but quickly fading head. Flavor is an odd mixture of herbs and bock sweetness. Rastacouere (5555), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2005 Slightly hazy very effervescent faded golden hue. Head is white, thin, mostly diminishing. Big bready nose, french toast and honey maltiness. Herbal butteriness blends in with the focused breadiness in most friendly manners, gentle fruity (notably citrusy) undertones. Excellent mellow hoppiness, floral and herbal. Neglectable acidity, just enough sweetness. Good execution and balance if it doesn’t seem to fill a purpose, much less feel like anything related to christmas.
