Full-bodied bock with luscious bready pale malts and slightly alcoholic firmness. Clean and rich. Delicious. radiomgb (1977), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Bottle. Cloudy golden/orange in colour. Aroma was slightly musty with some caramel malt and apples. The flavour was slightly spicy - pepper mainly - with some apples, bananas, caramel malt. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a medium bitterness, slightly sweet. Kind of boring. RAYBOY01 (1830), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 26, 2005 Weird mustiness in aroma and flavor. Seemingly out of style for a bock...not very sweet little or no hoppiness. Not a beer I would probably revisit. Sammy (4000), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2005 surprisingly hoppy beer with a base of bock flavour. Very drinkable, and can hold its own against the many hoppy American brews. I smelled the grapefruit, and tasted some grapefruit and spice, which the sweetness and carmel in the finish. A good one for the LCBO. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Updated: Mar 4, 2005500 ml bottle. The palest bock I’ve ever seen. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy with a thick pale tan head, which collapses to a chunky layer of bubbles over the surface. Sweet caramel malt, light apple, and a touch of toffee. Faint spicy aroma. Flavour is lovely, sweet soft caramel, faint noble hops, and a lingering sweetness. Fairly full-bodied. As it starts to warm, the hoppiness becomes more prominent. Nice brew. The flavor is a caramel malt with a stronger hopping than in most bocks. Very crisp finish with some lingering hop bitterness. Good brew.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2005 Pale brown/honey in color. Aroma is apple and maple syrup with heavy and ripe malts. Flavor is rich and hoppy with sweet maple tones and grape-caramel highlights. Hops is crisp, yet mellow and mature. Truly a malted champion with excellent hoppy crisp palate. The appearance is a bit murky and muddled. Very nice, overall.
