The flavor is a caramel malt with a stronger hopping than in most bocks. Very crisp finish with some lingering hop bitterness. Good brew.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2005 Pale brown/honey in color. Aroma is apple and maple syrup with heavy and ripe malts. Flavor is rich and hoppy with sweet maple tones and grape-caramel highlights. Hops is crisp, yet mellow and mature. Truly a malted champion with excellent hoppy crisp palate. The appearance is a bit murky and muddled. Very nice, overall. FROTHINGSLOSH (2025), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a tan-amber color with a large tan head. The aroma was sweet, malty and had a hint of fruit. The flavor was tangy, malty and lightly bitter with a light hop finish. Decent but nothing to seek out. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Medium gold, very nice, lasting head, looked quite a bit like Duvel actually. Mostly bready aroma. Flavor of light bread, a backing sweetness (not too much though), and balancing hops. Touch of honey. My kind of bock! Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 4, 2005 This one really suprised me after . I was excited for this being a bock beer but was a little dissapointed. It’s an alright beer but bock? Pour with very little head, nice lacing though. Very pale straw color, not the light brown/copper I was expecting. Very malty with a mouthpasty inducing mouthfeel. Not much of a finish either. Cheers! pintbypint (1008), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Fluffy white head is short lasting, breaks up into smaller foamy clumps. Sweet aroma, honeyish malt, light floral hops are noticable right after pouring but faded a bit throughout the glass. Heavy mouthfeel, lots of sweet malts, hoppy finish/aftertaste.
