| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Pours a nice amber, topped by less than an inch of nearly white foam that sticks around briefly then fades almost completely away. Mild aroma of sweet and biscuity malt.
Although it is pretty mild, I like the flavor - biscuity malt that reminds me of graham crackers, lightly sweet but really more toasted and fairly dry in the finish. Clean and smooth, with a touch of hops in the finish providing nice balance. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
I don’t know what makes this a ’Christmas’ bock, as nothing in this beer really stands out. But taken all together - it is mighty fine. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2007 Pours a hazy amber/brown with an appealing sweet/yeasty nose. Flavor is big on the malt, sweet notes of honey and some bubblegum, but some hops are back there to give an edge and provide an earthy quality. Comforting on a bitterly cold day. porterhouse (1164), Alna, Maine, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 3, 2007 Bottle. A weird gray/brown hue, with a modest off-white head with some durability. Thick, with a wheat/yeasty flavor that covers the sweet malt. A long finish and not much for hops. EithCubes (2176), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Bottle. Strongly malty scent, dark and spiced. Sweet with light bg orange, grape, and, uncharacteristically, yeast. Hazy amber/caramel color with a fizzy yet foamy tan head. Spiced taste with a dash of holiday sugar, perhaps a little lemon zest. Sticky fruity caramel. Clean and rich, touch of buttered bread. Dry caramel and light toffee finish, medium body veers toward the light side, with a very smooth feel. Though I had this in the afternoon, I’d imagine it’s better suited to the evening. Good bock!
