Nice hazy orange appearance with a slight brown hue. White head fades. Peppery malt aroma, hint of chocolate in the background. Also has fruity caramel apple wood notes. Nice creamy body. Slightly warming. Bready maltyness with a warming apple cider characteristic. Cinnamon hints, with a touch of peppery honey like notes. Light caramel malt sweetness in the background with a toasted bread, light dry finish. Nice, smooth and balanced. Panzuriel (995), Westerville, Ohio, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 7, 2006 This is one has got the deep tasting malts and somewhat unpleasant bitter that most beer are into. Taste of Cloves and mild spices are present, yet it lacks something that makes a good Christmas beer really special. mybrainhurts (214), North Dakota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 5, 2006 Pours a very pale light orange. Small white head on top with thin sheets of lace coating the glass. Minerals, herbal spice, honey and butter aroma. Flavor is similar to aroma but with some added skunk and metal to the mix. Dry, acidic and boozy finish. I like some Bamberg beers but this isn’t one of them. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Colored like brown sugar or iced tea. A bit of a funk in the nose, plastic-like, a bit of a spoiled veggie smell. Tastes a little old and putrid, but there’s enough of a maple and pancake flavor to hold it up. Still too vegetable-like. freekyp (905), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2006 Pouling slight cloudy with a thick sticky off-white head, this light brown brew has a thick, almost chewy, malt aroma and flavor. Very doughy with a tart raisiny finish and a light hop bite to round out the otherwise malt-dominated flavor. Carbonation is tight and small and hits on the very tip of the tongue., Merry Xmas indeed. Bring on the smoked ham! OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Bottle pours brown with a short tan head that stays well and laces the sides of the glass. Aromas of yeasty bread, some raisin, and caramel malts, some toasted malts and a touch of toffee there too. Flavor is caramel, toffee, raisin, brown sugar, and light hops at the finish. Medium body with not a lot of carbonation but fairly smooth body. I think this one might be somewhat underrated... Maybe my bottle was fresher than other rater’s samples.. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2006 Pours flat, hardly any carbonation to it, no head over a dark amber body. Sweet toasty nose up front, light hints of fruit, but a kinda stale flavor in the finish. Finish was a bit funky, some oxidation and earth tones over a slight metallic taste. Not bad up front but the finish lacked a bit.
