Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Bottle: Pours a dark brown with an off white head. Aroma, wheats, grassy notes. Flavor, tart, some wheat, roasty notes, and a little sour, weird. Not that enjoyable.

Pours dark brown with huge tan head that glazes top of the brew. Roasted, sweet dark fruit flavor. Bottled in early part of 2004. Cherry and plum aroma. Thoroughly enjoyed this...I hope I can find it again.

I need to try more beers of this style. Got this from Han’s in downtown Bend Oregon. Pours dark brown, murky. Deep malts in the nose, grainy bread, pineapple, clove, other spices. Flavor is strong malt, wheat, slight sugar, with a hint of a hop finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, and makes this bock a quality creation.

Bottle. A brown beer with a big beige head. The aroma is light roasted, wheaty and of caramel malt, so is the taste, but sweet. Medium body with a light dry finish.

Courtesy SoLan. Pours a dark brown, with a small, quickly evaporating white head. Very fruity, malty aroma. Dark berries, plums, and a little wheat make up most of the smells. The taste has a little fruity sourness to it, that caught me a little off guard. You get a little wheat characters, but that funky sourness kind of covers it up. The finish is mostly the dark fruits and sweetness, with a little bit of funk. Pretty decent.

Flavorful and medium body. two traits missing from most weisse beers. Hoppy with chocolate overtones. Nice red color. Enjoyable beer

Bottle. Hazy red brown coloured with an off white ehad. Aroma of caramel, bananas and spices. Flavour of bananas, spices and fruits. More dunkelweizen then weizen bock.

Fairly dark with red and tan highlights, not much foam, sort of tropical/banana with light solvent, I find the flavor to be quite good actually, deep and fairly forceful, nice combo of plum and slight roast and just the right acid balance. It’s not much to look at but still, love it for what it is man!
