Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

A dark mahogany brown color with a thick foamy tan head. Some floating yeast as well. Aroma of bananas, and a bit of sourness/lactic acid. Flavor is complex and includes caramel malt, spices, and dark fruit. The alcohol is evident.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are roast coffee with berries and dark chocolate. Smoky with hints of soy and peppery notes. Flavours are sweet and sour in a tainted sense. Some sweet chocolate malts. Shame.

Botella. Amber colour. Sweet malty caramel aroma. Ok mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and malty with a pleasant bitterness, toasty caramel and some dark frutiness.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of metal, over ripe fruits, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and spices, leading to a dry bitter and metallic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Courtesy of this porter dude I know. Pours deep clear amber with thin dark tan head. Initially as the cap was removed it smelled like dark grape candy. Upon further inspection from the glass I get a nice load of rich grape jam with layers of prunes, dates, earthiness and faint caramel and malts. Smells yum. The taste is yum too. I get concord grapes mixing with ripe cherries, candied red apple and dried cranberries.
