Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Very dark body, almost opaque wearing a big foamy, well-laced off-white head. Aroma obviously presents a good wheat base which is complemented by an expressive hay character, but mostly candyish bubblegum, melon and caramel. To add to the fun, cloves are found here and there as well as dark fruits which, overall, gave me an exciting date squares impression. Taste is very wheaty with moderate acidity. It is spicy, biscuity, candyish and dessert-like in its date squares, but from my perspective, a little too wheaty tart oriented to be truly enjoyable. Texture is creamy and highly carbonated, maybe a bit too much actually.

Not bad. Opaque dark brown. Malty aroma. Some notes of chocolate, perhaps some coffee. Slightly sour, acidic. Noticable alcohol content.

Very smooth and easy to drink. Some nice fruity esthers and hops are very present. Nice yeasty, banana bread taste, with just a hint of cinnamon and clove spice.

Complex: wheat and chocolate bitter with subtle fruity sweetness. Robust so can store for a few months. Clear expiry date on back of bottle with top ten picture. Bit too high on alcohol

Maybe we got a bad bottle, but my friend and I were underwhelmed with this to say the least. Just about average with the banana thing going on. Not much imagination with a straight forward malt character. Decent chocolate notes. Good, but not great.

Thanks to jcalabre for this taste. Medium brown, *lots* of foam, malty spice aroma. Like drinking banana spice bread, but balanced nicely and overall quite enjoyable.

dark brown brew with a huge head. Big bready malt with lots of spice notes. Clove infused banana bread. Medium light body with a little to much carbonation for my tastes being the only drawback.
