Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Strong banana aroma. Hazy, dark brown color, beige head, fair lace. Sweet, fruity, banana, nice sourness, light chocolat, medium body.

Underwhelmed compared to the beer's score. Certainly a decent beer but I found it a bit dull. Mild wheat character giving off banana, slight roast, a little citrus. Some chocolate notes.

Bottle conditioned, from Fabeers in York. Deep chesnut red, good lasting off white head and moderate condition. Intense banana, esters and peardrops in the nose. Smooth, sweet and banana heavy in the mouth with a faint roasted tartness. Sweet banana and chalky roastiness in the finish.

Tap, Café 't Pleintje Hengelo. Dark brown color, cloudy. Malty aroma. Malty flavor with licorice, citrus, some hops and roasted malt. Gets a bit buttery as the beer waremens up. Just the slightest hint of tartness. Medium to full bodied. Lovely and astonishingly refreshing beer.

Murky brown/ruby red color. Small head. Great nose of orange, sweet malt. Taste of orange, malt, smoke, and caramel with a litle spice. Good weizenbock.

Hazy brown beer, with a swwet vinous aroma, with some oranges. Sweet malt and caramles, and spices (from yeast?), very nice and alluring in the mouth. Medium body. Yummy.

Banana and yeast nose. Cloudy red brown, brown creamy head. Tastenotes of banana, berries and yeast - a bit like Aventinus, just a tad lighter. It is surprisingly lightbodied and drinkable actually - hides strength well.

WOW! Thanks Doug! Body as black as the ace of spades! Nice thick coppery head. FLuffy like the clouds. Aroma is slightly smokey with some fruity undertones. Taste is banana and hickory. Very nice brew!
