Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Large light brown head, lasting. Hazy brown color. Malty, bready nose. Some cloves and a hint of anise. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Clove and chocolate malt flavors, fruiy, yeasty with hints of bananna. Finish is fairly dry with a touch of alcohol.

Pours a murky brownish red, big firm tan head. Aroma was fruity- banana and apple, also some sweeter malt. Flavor was sweet with the malt and fruit blending nicely. Medium to full body, smooth. Very nice.

Hazy red, big off white lacey head. Sweet fruity aroma. Citrus and wine/grape. Good examples in the flavours. Light milk chocolate, lemon, plums, cherries, ripe raspberry tart and pepper. Light bodied with notes of spice, banana and yeast. Finishes citric. Quite similar to Aventinus (Schneider & Sohn).

Brown in color, small tan head that lasted for a nice long time and left a decent lace behind. The aroma was malty and caramel with a decent hop presence and fruity, maybe raisin or prune.Very nice flavor of malt and raisin mild hops and fairly sweet,I'm not a real big raisin fan in fact i would have to say i hate the taste with a passion and this one kind of gets to me.The raisin flavor is quite pronounced and does not exactly thrill me>I hate to rate this brew lower due to a dislike i have but i won't bend to be like the others either. It's worth trying i guess but this one is going down the drain.

I had a vague recollection of having this one a while ago and thinking it was just OK. I don't know if it's just the right setting now but i'm really liking this. Bubbly tan head emerges alongside a lovely warm brown body. Malt and fruit subtly hit the nose but the treat for me was the strong banana milkshake - made with chocolate ice cream - flavour i got. Sweet but not too much so - solid.

Not a bad beer but I'm just really not a fan of the wheat component. Very tingly mouthfeel. Starts out sweet and malty but then the wheat comes rushing in and ruined my party. Thanks to Shag for gettin me hooked up with this one.
