Commercial Description:
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Draught at GBBF08. Citric aroma, perhaps a little malt. Cloudy very dark brown colour. Small creamy light brown head. Sourish flavour, not really sweet or alcoholic.

Draught beer, haft pint, shared with Geir, from the German & Czech Bar, BSF, at GBBF 08. Murky body under a decent, off-white head. Weissen aroma of late banana and cloves. Acid taste with some sweet fruity hints. Noticeable alcohol (06.08.2008).

(GERMANY) Pours a dark brown almost black color with foamy white head. The aroma is of caramel, malts, and yeast. The taste is fruity with some spices, roasted malts and molasses. The mouthfeel is very unique, It’s thick and chewy and at the same time the finish is very zesty !!! The 7.2% is hidden very well in this bock and is worth buying.

Cask@GBBF 2008. Muddy looking black beer. The aroma is nicely yeasty, and the flavour is spritzy and yeasty. Overall a nice beer.

Bottle at GBBF 08. Mid to dark brown in colour, this is a bland, uninteresting bock. Avoid.

Dark brown aroma with thick white head. Yeasty aroma. Flavor is similar to Hefeweisen with citrus notes but with some nuttyness and caramel. Was hoping for some maltiness
