Dark red-brown colored with little yellow head. Buttery and earthy aroma with caramel and thin chocolate, not too much dunkel here for me. Medium bodied. Flavor is also cardboardy with roastiness also coming up, aftertaste dries with some chocolaty cookieness.

Tap and Keg at Mahr’s Brau. Not your typical dunkel! A bright copper with super lacy head. Malty aroma and killer after taste. Not super carbonated and really easy drinking. Had it with Rye bread but had slight Rye aftertaste which was very pleasant.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, caramel, bread notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090726]

Courtesy of Fonefan. It is dark amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts and a very light hint of smoke. The flavor is moderate to light sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts and the finish is dry. It has a quite full body and it’s smooth and pleasant to drink.
