Draft. A dark red beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of bread and medium notes of malt and grain. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with notes of bread, caramel, and grain, leading to a lightly bitter finish, where the caramel note lingers.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and pumpernickel. Medium body, sweet burned caramel and a little pumpernickel. A little hops in the finish. 241009

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours dark brown, clear, orange glare and a dense light tan head. Caramel malt, butterish and slight breadish aroma. Candy sugarish note too. Sweet breadish and caramel malt flavoured. Distinct sugarish sweetness yet somewhat balanced by a subtle bitterness. Breadish, sweet toffee and caramelish finish. A bit too toffeish and sweet for my liking.

Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090726]

Bottle, 5.0%. Midly roasted aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Very small white head. The flavour is mildly roasted, has a little nutty note. Mild and subtle, but OK.
