This beer attempts what I believe the style is about. Don’t offer too much flavor but make it drinkable. Drank this during the Steelers exhibition game with Washington. Not that that has anything to do with the beer, that’s just for historical purposes. Aroma was lagery with some metal. Pour was a light gold, almost clear with a one finger white head. Taste was like water with some bread and a tad of hops in the background. Good carbonation and not much else.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread/grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), with a light note of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice aroma with what smells like Hallertauer, and a good flavor balance. Nothing awesome, but a well-made helles.

Bottle: Clear gold, light white head and nice lacing. Nose of light biscuit, light skunky hops, some light cascade. The flavor is clean but needs some more toast and/or biscuity malt flavors. Finish toasty, ok. Could use more malt or less bitterness.

Pours dark gold with a small white head. Smells of grain and light malt. Light malt flavor with a subtle bitter hops taste at the end. It was quite smooth though.

Bottle from Bello Vino. Poured clear golden color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate grassy hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a light bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met and went well with a turkey on wheat sandwich.

Bottle. The beer pours to a pale yellow body with a creamy/rocky bleached white paper colored head. The aroma is lager yeasty with some beechwood smoked malt. Cooked corn, but oh so subtle. The flavor is a dry bitter hop with lager yeasts, grainy silage, and a tart beechwood smoked minerally malt. The palate is dry and minerally.

Hay, honey and yeast nose; soft and grassy, nice spicy and floral hop bitterness; light, drinkable body; dry and bready; lingering finish; nice for the hot summer.
