Subtle aroma has some floral noble hops and a touch of biscuity malt. Body starts with a touch of semi-sweet, sugary malt and some citrus before a crisp, bittering hop finish. A decent helles, but could use a touch more malty sweetness. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2005 This bottled brew marked bottled on 10/06/03 poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized mostly diminishing white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and yellow orange in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild dirty lager . Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a lingering tingly palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild malt hop notes. Somewhat thick for a Helles. JPDIPSO (4939), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Hazed dark straw color with a tall fluffy light cream colored head. Fluffy lace on the side. Buttered biscuits with grass and mild floral hops aromas. Silky smooth with only a light carbonation. Really smooth. Mild malt and vanilla flavors. A touch sweet at times, but then the hops comes back in and restore balance. Dry and mildly bitter finish. Certainly a session type brew. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2005 In the 0.5L bottle at the Huber Haus German Bier tasting. Pale gold with a substantial white head. Fine lacing. This is surprisingly excellent. Discernable pleasant malt aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty and devoid of any graininess. Full body in a very light beer. How is this possible? This is as good a light beer as I’ve ever had. This might be better than Spaten in my book. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2005 Quite nice, especially for a beer bottled 2 years ago. Sweet maltiness is contained in a very soft body. The finish has a nice crispness. The body looks a lot cloudier than that shown in the picture here.
