Dark in appearance, this brew seemed a bit watered down compared to other darks. The taste was of coffee and chocolate, but muted. It’s a pretty good brew, but not full bodied enough for my taste.

Bottle from the Chino Hills BevMo. Poured a dark brown with a good sized light brown head. Aroma was heavy on the roasted malt with chocolate and yeast. On my initial taste I thought this was the best I have had of the style. Went back and checked my ratings and I was proven correct. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel. Rich flavor that had some lactic sweetness. Palate was almost watery, but worked well.

Purchased at Bevmo in a bottle. Creates a thick lathering foam with a dark black beer to gaze upon. The nose is a smooth blend of roasted malt and classic German hops that really soothe my thoughts on how this is going to taste. The flavor is a rich and creamy blend of roast malt and hints of chocolate with a well rounded balance that makes a perfect dunkel

Bottle. Poured with a finger high light brown head. Smells of burnt malt and a slightly of coffee. Very dark beer, with some red hues on the border of the glass. Head dissipated rather quickly. Taste is a little bland, in my opinion, with literally no aftertaste.
