Commercial Description:
Mahr’s Brau Ungespundet Hefetrub It pours with a big, creamy, long-lasting, head; has a golden-bronze color; a wonderfully fresh, perfumy; hop aroma; a remarkably smooth, almost oily, malty, palate; very fresh flavours; and a spritzy finish. It is beautifully balanced, but leans to the dry side. This is a delicious, appetising beer and a true taste of Germany’s fast-vanishing artisanal tradition.

This Kellerbier pours a deep orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied keller. Malts are fruity and estery. Hops are slightly floral and earthy, Touch of orange. Very mild tasting beer, the flavors are nice but there are much there. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 4 Oct) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with a white, disappearing, head. Malty nose with grassy hops, fudge and notes of butter. Malty, nutty taste with toffe and some buttery notes. Dry finish with a well balanced bitterness. Fairly nice, but the buttery notes was slightly questionable. Not really sure about the shape of this cask, have to give it a new try when I can.
