Commercial Description:
Mahr’s Brau Ungespundet Hefetrub It pours with a big, creamy, long-lasting, head; has a golden-bronze color; a wonderfully fresh, perfumy; hop aroma; a remarkably smooth, almost oily, malty, palate; very fresh flavours; and a spritzy finish. It is beautifully balanced, but leans to the dry side. This is a delicious, appetising beer and a true taste of Germany’s fast-vanishing artisanal tradition.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of sweet malts, dust, yeast, and a touch of honey. Poured orange/amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout at a film on top of the beer. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Full of small, medium, and large-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of sweet malts, grains, slight hops, light yeast, and hints of vegetables, tea, and honey. Light to medium body. Lightly oily, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, lightly bitter, malt, grain, and hop finish.

A big thanks to SoLan for this one and helping me get all of my styles! As my fiancee would say, this absolutely smells and tastes like "beer." I can’t really think of anything else to say. It had a really awesome color, though... a strange cloudy orange that almost glowed.

Pours with a nice big head and good lace, the color is a hazy golden with plenty of floaties. The aroma is slightly vinous, yeasty, and a little musty, with some fresh cut hay/bright semi grainy malt, and some mild hops. The flavor starts with a zing of lemon zest and is largely earthy with more of that mildly grainy maltiness terribly well balanced with a nice hop bitterness, earthy and yeasty flavors play in quite a bit as well. I enjoyed this one very much.

Hazy orange with a big and lasting white head. Grainy malt aroma with biscuit notes, a touch of herbal hops. Dry and malty flavour with herbal hops and a good bitterness. The finish is slightly thin

Draught. Turbid gold body with a white head that subsides to a ring. Aroma is butter-honey on biscuit, floral, and with only a slight hint of citrus. Flavor is slightly citric but predominantly butter-honey, floral, and slightly bitter. The palate is creamy smooth.
