Commercial Description:
Mahr’s Brau Ungespundet Hefetrub It pours with a big, creamy, long-lasting, head; has a golden-bronze color; a wonderfully fresh, perfumy; hop aroma; a remarkably smooth, almost oily, malty, palate; very fresh flavours; and a spritzy finish. It is beautifully balanced, but leans to the dry side. This is a delicious, appetising beer and a true taste of Germany’s fast-vanishing artisanal tradition.

Brewed in Germany !!! Pours a hazy amber color with a dissipating white head. The aroma is of caramel, malts, and biscuits. Taste of caramel, yeast, and hops. The mouthfeel is kind of spritzy that finishes on the dry side. Very drinkable !!!!

Draught. Clear golden with a big nice white head leaving a good lacing. Malty caramellic sweet aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is a bit sweet with a sweet malt and some strange fruity hoppiness.

Hazy amber with arge off white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Same goes for the flavor that also holds grainy notes. Ends sweet.

16.9 oz. bottle consumed on 9-5-08. Floral aroma features peach, white grape juice, whipped cream, and green apple scents. Light continental European hops presence in the smell. Pours an effervescent dark gold with a moderate amount of light beige, short-lasting, thin head. Sour taste of lemon, crabapple, and green grape. Hoppy dryness. I think this beer has gone bad (at least I hope so). Dry aftertaste. Light body. Crisp in the palate.

Draft - Hazy deep golden body, a little very fine sparkle, big white head leaving thick, thick laces; Deep nose with lots of both malt and yeast in very fine balance, when it warms ripe yellow fruits are present as well, the hop aint really there though; Fine a little sharp carbonation on soft textured body, balanced, bitter; Long finish with lots of aroma, malt is very clear, spicy hop is well hidden. Great drinkable beer, malty deep and still very fresh. Much better when it has had some time to warm in the glass!
