1/2 liter bottle. Pours to a hazy, pale golden color, with a soapy white head that fades, and a soft to moderate carbonation. The nose is light, with some gentle grassy hop aroma. Palate is soft, with some mild pale malt flavor, on a round, clean body. This beer finishes with some mild pale malt flavor, then finishes with a mild, grassy hop bitterness that lingers. Very fresh tasting, easy drinking, pale lager. Its low alcohol makes it the kind of beer you could pound with impunity. This beer had gentle aromas and flavors, but make no mistake, this is a very good beer, one I enjoyed with a nice German meal of bratwurst and sauerkraut. This would make a really good beer to enjoy by the liter.

Clear light yellow pour with a substantial and quickly dissipating snow white head. Lacing is decent, erratic. Light in all aspects as to be expected. Nose is grassy hops, sugary malts and lemon zest. Flavor is much the same, noted additions include crisp hoppiness and toasted grain. Finish is moderately yeasty with a crisp bite from what limited hops are present. Mouthfeel is very light, but isn’t that part of the idea? A very good light beer from an excellent traditional brewery. If I ever need a light beer I now know where to turn.

500 ml bottle from Table & Vine, Northampton MA (January 2007), served out of the fridge from a Flying Fish pint glass. Very clear light yellow-gold with a decent frothy white head that diminishes rapidly but leaves fairly thick lacing....very light but clean malty nose, touch of dried grasses, nothing exciting or memorable but pleasant enough....dry, crisp and surprisingly hoppy body is on the thin side for sure and containing little malt sweetness or body, becoming eventually quite bitter and lightly mineralic at the finish....as close to a real pils as any "light" beer I’ve had; were it a bit maltier and stronger in the nose, this would be excellent. As it is, impressive for a light beer as nearly all the previous reviewers have noted.

Bottle at the brew pub July 2005, pale gold, moderate white head and gentle condition. Low gentle hoppiness in the nose, quite thin in the mouth with some gentle malt and hop bitterness showing up, low tingle of bitterness in the finish.

16.9 oz, bottled on 50.35? Clear, barely yellow, with a white, then grey, pocked head. Scummy lace. Lemony Wonder bread with bathroom undertones. A little body, a little bitter, but not much different than a standard macro. Michelob comes to mind. Carb is somewhat subdued with just a hint of skunk. Bitter pith finish with pancake batter.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pale pilsener golden with a nice, dense, white head. Rather hoppy, floral nose. Light body, completely dominated by a very distinct hoppiness leaving a solid dose of bitterness. Very good for the style. 071106

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated yellow colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty orange peel and slightly astringent. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of malt hops and mild astringency. Not one that I would buy again.

Bottle at the brewery, a very cloudy copper with a large rocky off-white head. A slightly metallic wheat aroma, with oranges and spice. A very wheaty flavour, fruit and corriander flavours, smooth. If only all low-strength beers were like this.
