Pours effervescent and cloudy, but lacking the head density and longevity you’d see in the better german hefes - still nice looking, though - the aroma is heavy with clove phenols and thick spiciness/peppery character, with some banana lurking in the background - full but soft carbonation - the flavor is light and mildly tart, followed by moderate sweetness, as the clove and fairly strong spice flavors settle in - yeasty in the finish - lingering warming spicy qualities - a quality hefe, but there are other german examples that are much better (and cheaper!).

Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Hazy golden colour, mediumsized white head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is banana, some sour wood, mild spices as well as some slight acidic notes. Flavour is sour wood, yeast, wheat, very mild banana and also some slight bready notes. The banana gets stronger towards the finish.

Bottled. Maybe I got a bad bottle but not what I expect from a German Hefe. Had big notes of sour and sweet but missed most of the banana esters and spice. Weird.

Bubblegum and banana aroma with a hint of a beerish butterscotch smell. Cloudy apricot/lemon color with a white head that disappeared and lots of action. Bubblegum and banana flavor with a sour butterscotch background. Light bodied, mixed buttery/watery texture, and a lively soft carbonation. The different tastes of this style from Germany ifseems to have no limit.

Smapled in a bottle. Pretty good. A bit of a bite and not to wheaty. Quite a bit of close and citrus to it, but very bubbly and very strong. Worth a try but not the best.

Delicious, reserved hefewizen. Nose of clove, bubblegum and citrus, with traces of biscuit and wheat. The mouthfeel is very rich and thick, flavors similar to the nose but bannana is very dominant. The finish is sweeter than most.

Cloudy yellow/gold pour. Light white head that disappears completely. Aroma of bananas and some light citrus. Banana flavor, with sweetness and some citrus in the finish.

From BevMo for $2.99 this poured a cloudy light yellow with a big white head and good lacing. Nose of banana and cloves. Smooth moutfeel. Flavor is citrus and banana and the finish is lively and classic hefe, as is the beer overall. Quiet drinkable.
