Commercial Description:
A new take on a couple of old favorites! All the malty goodness of an American Wheat mixed with the hoppy goodness of a Pale Ale. We started with over 50% Wheat Malt and added some Golden Promise and Bonlander Munich Malt to round out the grain bill. Six different hops varieties provide the balance for this refreshing summer drink.

Light orange and clear. Light pine hop flavor, a little bitter, dry, though not a balanced fruit flavor. Medium pale and chalky malts.

RBSG 2004, on tap at the brewpub: Not really that much aroma, stupid pint glasses. I didn’t write down the color, but I must not have been too impressed if I gave it a two. Bitter taste, full bodied, a really nice American wheat.

Yellow-orange and mostly clear; headless. Moderate effervescence up front. Wholesome, but mild, malt flavors. Healthy bitterness in the finish; builds more in the aftertaste. Not bad at all (actually kind of refreshing), but not too exciting either. At any rate, it’s easy to drink.

Filtered clear yellow with light head & lacing. The aroma is very unique. The hoppy freshness is very present but the wheat takes over and rounds out the finish. A light maltiness is present but this is one of the cleanest, freshest tasting American Wheat beers I’ve ever had, even considering the Pale Ale blend.
