beerdedbastard (22), Willoughby, Ohio, USA Dec 8, 2002 A very nice aroma of Belgian candy sugar, cotton candy and citrus.A wonderfull cloudy golden color.Sweet, yet well balanced.I enjoyed this very much.I especially enjoyed all the aromas of this beer.I felt theraputic effects from it’s ’aromatherapy’; and went back for seconds!! JohnC (1814), Mission Viejo, California, USA Dec 8, 2002 reminded me of a grand cru style belgian. nice fruity aroma, w/ an elegant mouthfeel. a sipping beer. very nice BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Nov 19, 2002 This has all the makings of a great Belgian classic but with some home brew styled roughness around the edges. I don’t say that to be critical because I think the beer is outstanding. Looks like an apricot, with a decent foam at first although that quickly disappears. Great spice and fruit in the aroma that also comes through on the palate. Initially sweet, enough so that my wife liked it, but with a nice hoppy spicy finish a la Piraat. Seems a little out of sorts in a couple of places, but an excellent beer. beerguy101 (3608), Newark, California, USA Dec 10, 2004 Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. Light orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is fruit, sweet and citrus. A medium bodied tripel. Malts are fruity and sweet. Apricots and pears. Light and refreshing.
