MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 9, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A ring of foam circles the hazy blond.
-Crisp wheat and faint citrus fruit fail to excite the nostrils.
-Dull banana and honey sweetness barely wake up the wet, wheaty softness.
-The smooth carbonation fits the appropriately lean body, but it soon feels limp.
What if you dig deeper?
-It finishes dry, and mostly bland.
-A salty, Cup-a-Soup is evoked by the flaccid nose.
-Oh, the brewpub estival wheat ale...I still don’t see a purpose for it when the house blond could easily do the same trick.
On tap at the brewery restaurant. jjpm74 (3127), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Aug 16, 2005 After sampling this one, and being thoroughly disappointed in this brewer’s offerings, I stumbled into the car my wife so lovingly drove and went back to the hotel to drink some of Atlantic’s offerings. I don’t think I’ll seek out this brewer again. ruggedman (429), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 5, 2005 Yellow, fizzy, mildly refresing, but not exactly exciting. Watery hop taste with little aroma. ericnixon (711), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA Jun 29, 2003 Had a bottle of this whilest up in Maine for the weekend. it was a pretty generic and average summer ale.
