BeerBiker (1235), Odense, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 [Bottle from Bamberg.] An ordinary dunkelweiss with the usually notes as banana, some bread, but could have some more ingredients in the flavor. Some watery, but OK!
omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 10, 2008 Bottled. Cloudy orange/brown, creamy head. Papery nose with a light touch of banana. Sweet and medium bodied, fairly soft. A bit of grass. The levels of banana esters is fairly light. Maria (4973), Thisted, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 Murky, dark brown with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has light notes of clove and wheat and the flavour has a light sweetness, notes of wheat, caramel and clove. It’s quite nice, but as most of the dunkel weiss biers, it’s not nearly as full of flavour as the light one. darkseduction (151), Zweibrücken, Germany Jul 7, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Pours a muddy dark brew with stable white head. Much floaties, just a little bit too much yeast. Smell bread, yeast, hops. Fizzy carbonation. A round and pleasant taste, but yeast is dominating. No bottle fermentation. MoritzF (4046), Ruhrpott, Germany Jun 1, 2008 (bottle) Cloudy, dark amber colour with a big and lacey, off-white foamy head. Sweet and toasty, just a bit wheaty aroma with a distinctive lemon-citrus fruitiness and a whiff of banana. Light-sweet and sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft mouthfeel for a Weizen. Slim malty, slightly toasted and wheaty taste with mainly citrus, slightly lemony fruity notes; slightly toasted and minimal sourish tart finish. A bit slim but pleasant Dunkelweizen (27.05.08).
