Commercial Description:

500ml. bottle on 4/16/2008. I think this was a bad bottle. Hazy amber with virtually no head or carbonation to speak of. Grainy aroma with a slight floral hoppiness, but no oxidation. Medium body, but flat with a clean, dry plate. Light toffee sweetness up front, some spicy bitterness on the back end. Just didn’t seem right, and the total lack of carbonation certainly indicated a problem that manifested itself throughout the glass. Based on previous ratings, I’ll have to give it another try.

[Bottle, thanks for sharing, Badgerben] Pours amber with a small white head. The aroma and taste are both somewhat sweet, are very malty and have a good deal of barley present. Medium mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish. Not a whole lot to say about this one--it was overall quite drinkable but very simple.

Aroma is spicy, fruity, malty and nutty, copper, pours a slim off-white head. Flavour has fine, quality malt. seems spicy, like a coriander/ginger influence, apples, pit fruit, woody and nutty. Medium bodied, very well balanced, complex, quite dry, and as I consume more, it gets drier. A delicious "vicious circle." Fantastic!

Darker golden, moderate to small head, some lacing and retention. Aroma is grass, caramel, bread, some oily goodness. Medium to light body, quite sweet, moderate carbonation. Came off a little weak.

Dark golden colored with no head to speak of, in fact the carbonation in this is extremely low. Aroma is toasty, with notes of honey and fruit. Light apple notes in the flavor, along with honey and grassy and earthy hops. Body somewhat similar to a cask ale - smooth and lightly carbonated.

1/2 liter bottle -- Poured copper orange, the head extremely watery and thinly bubbled. The aroma is sweet, somewhat biscuity, but inviting. The beer’s body is a bit svelte, but the beer carries a decent complement of light flavors. Lightly fruity with a citric acidic undertow swimming amongst a moderately bready brew. (#3379, 4/4/2008)

From a 500 ml bottle. Light copper and gold body with a quickly fading head. The aroma is grainy with some multigrain cereal and some tart cherries. There is also a smell like opening a box of a variety of chocolates. The taste is definite cereal grains with a little bit of peanuts. The finish is dry and clean. A decent brew.

Cloudy orange color, small white head fades fast and leaves no lacing. Sweet honey aroma. Flavor of honey, creamy, somewhat dry up front. Medium body, smooth, clean finish.
