TheBeerGod (2895), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden pour. No head at all. Nose is grassy with honey, buttered biscuit, floral hops and soft yeast. Taste is stronger hops notes - both grassy and floral - with bready malts, buttered biscuit, grains, light yeast and a touch or caramel. Body is very light and slick with little to no carbonation. Finishes with more buttery bread, toasted malts, grass, straw, floral hops and honey.
tgncc (377), Bellmore, New York, USA Jan 5, 2009 With this, I check the elusive Keller beer off the list! And a wierd beer it is. Malty aroma, yeasty, like baking bread, and this wierd smell, almost like tomato sauce (please dont call me crazy). The appearance is a hazy amber color. Almost no head. Low carbonation. The beer itself has a sweet, fruity feel, like apricots, grapes. Zero in the way of hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is very watery. The finish is almost non existent, but at least is not distatsteful. I could pound these if I was served this at a party. I am glad I found this representative of the style, but I wont make a habit of drinking it. m4rest88 (126), Beverly Hills, California, USA Dec 22, 2008 Pours with a somewhat watery texture in an amber hue with absolutely no head watsoever.
Aroma is of yeast, some citrus, and apricot peels.
Flavor is a little off - kind of feels like iced tea. Its surprisingly refreshing ill give it that! Taste is awkward, and not beer-like.
Watery mouth feel with absolutely no carbonation whatsoever. BMan1113VR (1320), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Dec 22, 2008 Bottle. Vigorous pour yields no head. Just a hazy golden orange body. Aroma is deep caramel with pear and a bit of soggy malt and a touch of corn. Taste is a bit of urine, wet dog, malt, DMS and iced tea. Sounds like a horrible combination, and although not great, it is not as bad as it sounds. Hardly any carbonation on the tongue. Watery. pnista (918), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 Not much of a hiss on opening. Pours a still clear copperish orange with a heterogeneous thin, odd diminishing white head. The nose is sweet with malt, without much hops. Some darker malt, creamy with grape? Almost sickly sweet. Almost no carbonation really. Very subtle. A bit sticky, but not a ton of body at all to this beer. Sweet. Malt forward, hops are really MIA. Again, some darker malt and some grainy flavors. Again a hint of grape. Lingering toasty astringency in the finish. tupalev (2385), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2008 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, courtesy of Harry. Fresh from the tank aroma, grassy fresh grain - nice and unique. Dark orange/yellow, little to no head. Good taste - refreshing grainy malt, some hops, bready. Good, unique, I enjoy this style done right.
