Dusky dried fruit. A surprising lack of phenolics. I wrote "a sort of sweet sweaty smell", but saw StewardofGondors description of "squeezable toy ponies" and that’s exactly it! Gentle honey flavor with more dried fruit. Soft carbonation. Touch of cloves. This was a little past date, but I kind of like its faded quality. Actually makes me think of barleywine a little bit. Aged hefeweizen. Maybe it will catch on. rayg1 (438), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2006 Very fruity but not too much like some Hefes can be even a litttle bitter kick at the end. Unfortunatley the bar i had this at gave it to me in the bottle and didn’t have good glasswear selection so i had it out of the bottle. Leaving alot of the rating a guess but still a good drink. joergen (8617), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2006 Got this one at a Swiss/Italian restaurant in inland northern Queensland - unexpected. Unfortunately the old duck waitress came over and poured this beer into a frosty weizen glass. Her very "careful" pour left me with a beer resembling a kristallweizen. And then she went and snatched the bottle away before I could have a look at it!! Anyway, that probably detracted from my experience with this beer and I’ve probably rated it a bit lower because of it. Overall I found it to be just above the average for hefe’s, with a nice depth of flavour that served my well on the unseasonally wet tropical winter day. Stefano (1340), Esbjerg, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Very middle of the road Hefeweizen. Sweet banana aroma, but light. Nice orange color with a rocky head. Yeasty, with a long refreshing finish. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Bottle from Bavaria. Stunning beauty. Emblazoned cloudy orange glow with a creamy, dense and orange tinted head that’s quite fluffy. Aroma makes progress and purpose out of orange sprits, vanilla, clover, banana and squeezable toy ponies. Lemon buttercream and banana oatmeal further enhance the lining up the nose. Flavor gels so well. Refreshment eases in with crisp and ever-so-slightly soured lemon rinds. Bakery fresh angel food cake with supple hints of interwoven banana flavoring. Succinct nectar amidst orange blossoms. Enormous flavor extravaganza. Cloves give an invigorating fulfillment on the tongue and around the bends. Creamy and substantive palate adrenaline and admirably effervescent. Perfectly balanced and a down right testament to brewing beer at its very best. Lively and spicy cackled white pepper teams with cloves and a vanilla buttercream based lemon-banana meringue pie, albeit with a light, golden honey graham crust. Simply the best. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark
