This Weisse from Maisel’s is just what a weissbier should be like: marigold in color, banana on the front of the palate, clove-finish, with a semi-sweet bouquet at the head. Beautifully balanced with a semi-sweet hoppiness.

500 ml bottle. Dark yellow color. This one is a bit more sweet than other weissbiers which makes it more drinkable. That is why i prefer others when it comes to hefeweizen. Still it is enjoyable and pretty satisfying.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a good looking large white head. Banana in both aroma and flavor, also some yeast. A nice and drinkable hefeweizen.

On tap. Hazy golden colored body with a thick cream head. Banana and peach in the smell and taste. Very smooth and refreshing. Nice and wheaty in the flavor with a good hop balance. Great lacing.

50cl bottle: A hazy light brown colour with a very creamy head. The aroma is orange-lemoney and clovey, with a light acidity and yeast. Hints of banana in the somewhat "juicy" flavour, with a bread-and-toffee maltiness and a crisp carbonation. Still keeps the balance with a nice creaminess. Very refreshing, definitely among the few hefeweizens I enjoy.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick dark blond color and a shoppy sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a banana touch. This beer smells fruity.

[2339-20090728] 500mL bottle. Light fruity fresh yeast aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Light fruity yeast flavour has fresh banana puree notes. Medium body. Tasty; the label could kind of look like "mabel’s" weisse, ha ha.
