| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2005 500ml bottle at 5.4% from beersofeurope.co.uk. I thought this was a rather unusual hefe. For a start, its rather darker than the norm - a rather murky amber colour. The head dispersed very quickly. There are some banana esters in the aroma, but its quite restrained. I didn’t pick up much in the way of spices. The flavour is more citric than usual with an underlying sharp acidity, although it finishes up quite sweet. Quite yeasty and there’s also an unexpected touch of malt there too. Light mouthfeel. A pleasant, refreshing, but hardly exuberant wheat beer.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2005 Dark orange, almost amber colored body. The aroma is over ripe bananas and some watermelon. The slightest hint of clove. The taste is light with watermelon and just a little bit of bread crust. There is also some hint of clove in the finish. The body is creamy and smooth with active carbonation. A nice hefe. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 22, 2005 A muscular, flavoursome German hefeweizen. Looked great: hazy orange with a short pillowy head that showed good length and laced well. And it had that classic banana-bubblegum-sandwich hefeweizen aroma. There are also buttery diacetyl notes, cloves and I’d swear a whiff of kelp. One of those aromas that kept me coming back for more. Probably sat sniffing it for 10 minutes before I finally took a sip. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, with a hint of spritz in the finish. Medium-bodied - I like a hefeweizen with a bit of bulk. Lots of sweet bready malts up-front, some bananas and cream, a hint of allspice and a dry finish. This is the dog’s bollocks.
