Murky red-brown, creamy head.
Banana and vanilla on a bready background. No real dominant traits, which makes it pleasant to drink, but a bit uninterresting in the long run.
Medium to light body and a slight honey aftertaste. Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Aug 30, 2003 Stale bottle. Hints of what hefeweizen can do, hidden behind a cardboard screen. Note to self: Must find a bottle shop with really good turnover, or sell a kidney and start buying cases. Betty (234), Walgett, NSW, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2003 Awesome stuff. Not sure it's quite better than Schneider but it's well cool. The yeast is all over as is sugar bananas and that breakfast vibe. Not sure about citrus anywhere, more bready I thought. Stop eating those stale oranges. This is heaps better than the Kristall, by the way... skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

Sweet, spicy and citrus smell, well balanced. Refreshing and clean palate. Decent brew. brownaler (379), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA

Cloudy orange color with big white head. Reminds me of Alaskan Summer Ale - a fruity, almost banana-like palate. Great citrus notes as well. Would recommend this one to anyone who enjoys a good summer-type beer. DrnkMcDermott (1861), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2003 Updated: Aug 1, 2003Bottled. I found this in a convenience store at the Doral Building on Michigan Avenue, tucked behind the Coors Light tallboys. Tasted it on the train home, since the rush hour schedule wouldn't let me stop over at Flossmoor Station.
Drank this from the bottle, so I couldn't tell the color well. But drinking from the bottle did kick up a nice foamy head inside, and there was a fine coating of yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Presented a nice wheaty nose when I opened the bottle. The usual clove and banana tastes only became apparent after the first few sips. Between that was a nice malty sweetness balanced unobtrusively by German hops. Further down the bottle, the lemony taste becomes evident, which builds to a nice tartness as it warms up. All in all, a good, tasty beer to find. CEZ (373), Milano, Italy

Deep amber color, almost orange, darker than most hefe-weizen (btw, it's a bit stronger in alcohol, also). Beautiful, though not huge, white head. Full aroma of banana, lemon and spices. Fresh and crisp, but with a good malt and yeast consistence. Clean and slightly acidic finish.
