(bottle) beautiful hazy orange-golden hue, stable frothy head. aroma has the typical wheat and banana notes with a hint of cloves. flavour is quite neutral with a large wheat base but very little of the qualities that come through in the aroma. light body with high carbonation. disappointingly dull.

From bottle, in Hamburg. Orangey blonde cloudy pour with effervescent head giving off a shower of yeasty and citrus aromas. VERY lemony but balanced flavor - banana esters and clovey phenolics. Good as most any weizen.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours very lively orangy - yellow, essentiall body, very high effervescence visually, head is initially big to huge, slowly decreasing to medium, deep, regular in structure, frothy, snowy white, there is a decent lacing, very intensive colours.
Aroma: Very nice and intensive aroma of wheat malt, greatly pronounced, very fine aroma, clover, floral - flowery herbs, very clean aroma of banana, clean milky touch, grainy touch, notes of carrot - apple natural juice, white bread, some minerality and accidity.
Flavour: Very focused and clean, well balanced taste of a noble wheat beer, very easy recognisable notes of barley malt and pure wheat grains, clove, banana, coriander, milk, whipped cream, apple juice, gentle white bread, yeastyness, very lively carbonation on palate, well balanced, slightly, gently sweet and gently salty, flowery hoppy nose, finish duration is ling.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is mild, almost creamy, carbonation on palate is quite lively, finish feel is moderate astringent and slightly chalky.

Bottle @ Gollem 2. Cloudy amber colour, big off-white head. Aroma of yeast (poo), ripe fruits, wheat and some spices. Flavour is wheat, yeast, fruits and spices. Lots of carbonation, giving it its freshness. A bit watery, nice beer though.

Good taste, but not as full flavored as I was expecting. Slightly watery. Fruity and yeasty flavor. Very light spices. Creamy mouthfeel. Highly drinkable and refreshing. Some honey sweetness, but not too sweet.

Bottled (5,2% ABV). A cloudy medium amber beer with a huge, creamy and persistent white head. The aroma is quite powerful and malty, with notes of fruits (banana, lemon), spices (cloves) and light grassy and yeasty touches. The flavour is quite sweet and has a moderate acidity. Wheat and cloves notes. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry short finish with light bitterness. A refreshing Hefeweizen, not transcendental, but drinkable.

This was a pretty good hefeweizen. It is very banana like in flavor and aroma and is very light and mild in all flavor respects. It is not toward the clove end of the hefeweizen spectrum, which is the extreme I gravitate toward. This is good for fans of mild, fruity and creamy hefeweizens.
